What is Microshading/Powder Brows? Also known as Powder Brows or Ombre Brows, Microshading unlike Microblading resembles a more filled in makeup brow. This technique will give the illusion of a brow that is filled in with eyebrow pencil or powder. Ombre powder brows will have a lighter front that gradually gets darker toward the tail. You can get a full microshaded powder brow with even saturation or an ombre powder brow with gradual saturation. You can also get a mix of microblading and microshading which would result in a combo/hybrid brow. All techniques can look as natural or dramatic as you desire. How natural or dramatic your brow will look is all up to the client’s preference. Kacey also offers Brows Color Correction. For those who had previous works done, make sure to send in photos of your brows & need to be approved by Kacey prior to booking. Failure to do so can lead to discoloration, pigment loss, and or infections. **WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT ** •Immediately after treatment, the brows will appear darker and bold but will eventually get lighter within the 2 weeks "peeling" period. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin. After 14 days, new skin rejuvenates itself making the brow appear much softer and natural. It takes a full 4 weeks for the skin to heal and the pigment to resurface. •During this time, itching may occur and it's a sign of healing skin. Do not be alarmed. II. AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS:✳️ ✳️✳️ EYEBROWS AFTER-CARE ✳️✳️ •Healing time and results will always vary due to everyone's skin being different. Daily lifestyle, diet, facial regimen, medications, is different factors to healed results. Touchups are recommended to maintain the color and vibrancy of your brows. •During the healing process, please AVOID the following: •Do Not get the brows wet during the healing process for 14 days. •Do Not put anything (water, make-up, lotions etc.) on the brows for 14 days. •Do Not sweat for 14 days - this is may be difficult for those who love to work out, but body heat expands the pores. Sweat has salt and will cause fading of the brows or pigment loss. •Apply A&D ointment to the brows with the micro swab brush when needed after 48 hours. •This is a dry healing process so only apply if brows are itchy, dry, and stiff. Be gentle when applying the ointment so that you don't scrape the scabs off. •Do Not scrub, rub, or pick at the scab/crust that forms. Allow it to flake off naturally. If it's removed early, there will be pigment loss. •Do Not use any Retin-A or Glycolic Acids in the brow area during or after healing, this will cause discoloration and or pigment loss. •No tanning; self-tanner is ok but not on the brows. •Try not to sleep on your face while healing; possible pigment loss will occur •We want you to be thrilled with the results for the months ahead, so follow the instructions! ❇️WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING PROCESS (estimated timeline below): • Day 1-3: Brows look darker, thicker (swollen) and sensitive. Don't worry, the color will fade ove the next week. • Day 4-7: Brows will begin to scab/flake and patchy. do not panic! • Day 8-14: Brows are completely peeled & color seem very faint/light. • Day 15-35: Color comes back, starts to resurface and darken. As this point, you can decide if there is anything you want to add or change. ✅✅ EYELINER_ENHANCEMENT aftercare instructions:✅✅ • Do not pick, rub or peel off your scabs, to avoid bald spots, scars, or infection. • Do not let the area dry out completely, since this can cause scabbing and cracking of skin surface. • Keep your hair away from your face. • No makeup on the treated area for 7-10days • Do not use mascara until outer healing is completed. • Avoid sleeping on your face, use a fresh pillowcase. • Avoid swimming, sauna, hot tubs for the first 7-10days. • Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area. • Do not wear contact lenses at least 24 hours. • Do not dye, perm, or use an eyelash curler for 2 weeks. • Eyes will be puffy and swollen for a few days. Eyes may feel dry or irritated. • No eyelashes serums or growth stimulation, those products might cause pigment migration. 🚫DO NOT WORK OUT DAY OF.. •These will cause excess bleeding during your procedure and will compromise the integrity of your procedure and healed results. Excessive bleeding, will inhibit your skin from being able to retain pigment and heal properly which could lead to the possibility of ashy/grey/muddy results . Healing process usually takes 10-14 days. >>> After the healing process is complete: take care of your brows by using sunscreen or moisturizer. ***FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION*** 🚨 If an adverse reaction or infection develops at the site of your tattoo, contact your personal physician for treatment and report to SNHD Special Programs at 702-759-0677 or bodyart@shnd.org FAQs and POLICIES *ANNUAL TOUCHUPS REQUIRE APPROVAL PRIOR TO BOOKING• Brows are expected to fade and is completely normal. Please send photos prior to booking your yearly touchup or within 24hrs of booking to avoid time wasted time and your deposit being forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS AND NO TRANSFER OF DEPOSIT TO A FUTURE APT! Does it hurt? Clients out there feel a little nervous about Permanent Makeup being painful. Most of our clients report LITTLE or NO PAIN. Often they say it's a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10, at most. They say it's much less painful than eyebrow threading. Some clients have literally slept through the appointment! We use topical anesthetics (gels and creams) on the eyebrow area prior and throughout the process, so this leaves our clients totally numb during the procedure. In the end, every client says it's totally worth it! Is it possible that I may not retain pigment? Yes, it does happen and it is true! A third appointment is often set up so the client has the opportunity to return and I get the chance to review the work and sort out any (if any) adjustments need to be made. Some clients skin may react to trauma of the tattoo, and the skin may try to push out the foreign body of the pigment by producing extreme scabbing, so the pigment will eventually disapear with the scabbing. There is a condition called Pigment Allergy (PPD Allergy, a condition known by dermatologist) or Auto Immune Disease symtoms (client may not even be aware of it). The skin would have over reacted and become super sensative to the pigment and will reject it. Every clients skin is different and healing varies per client. There for treatment is never guaranteed and more than 1 or 2 touchups may be required. Do you offer touch ups from previous tattoo? Unfortunately I do not, please email a clear photo of your bare brows prior to booking your appointment for approval. Depending on how they healed will determine if a correction or a removal will be necessary. Do you guarantee the PMU/Tattoo Body Art service? Due to everyone’s skin and body being different, daily lifestyle, results do vary and healed results are not guaranteed. Body art can cause swelling, bruising, discomfort, bleeding, & pain. Body art can cause allergic reactions. Body art can cause irreversible changes to the human body. Body art has a risk of infection. Any effective removal of the body art work may leave permanent scarring and disfigurement Can I still wear makeup? Remember, having permanent makeup done is there to help speed up the process of applying your makeup. Having your brows done doesn’t always mean you won’t have to fill them in at times when you want that more dramatic glam look. Makeup is still your friend! It’s light and natural enough for your daily no makeup look. For those who absolutely do not want to do anything to their brows, we can always go darker. But being more conservative is great on the 1st session because we can always go darker but I cannot go lighter once it’s already dark. BUT if you prefer that dark makeup look please do not ask for “natural”, it’s impossible to achieve dark but natural, have realistic expectations.
